Practical Information

The Hospital is open weekdays between 7 – 17, and emergency patients are received 24 hours a day.

Booking

  • Weekdays between 9 – 12

Hospitalized patients

  • The patients are examined and treated after the veterinarians assessment
  • The horses are fed 3 times daily with maintenance concentrate and hay
  • Private feed can be fed but packaged rations are required
  • Visiting hours vary according to the case

Drop off and pick up of horses

  • Out of office hours – by appointment (note: there will be no one available
    to assist during these times)
  • Box labels need to be filled in on delivery

Client communication

  • The veterinarians answer the phone between 8-9 weekdays
  • Owners of critically ill patients are contacted when necessary
  • Discharge instructions are given personally or by letter at discharge or
    as soon as possible after discharge
